DC Engineering Inspections, founded in 2015 offers high quality engineering services with unwavering focus on our projects and our client’s overall objectives. We are a team of experienced Engineers and Construction professionals providing inspection of residential buildings, community centers, subdivisions, mid and high-rise buildings, commercial and industrial facilities throughout New Jersey and Eastern Pennsylvania. We work closely with our clients to truly understand their needs and to deliver the precise product to solve their immediate problem or eliminate future problems.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with an engineering degree and construction experience to join our team as an engineer, consultant and supervisor. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction codes and standards, the ability to identify and correct construction defects, and the ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences. The candidate will be responsible for overseeing inspectors and construction projects to ensure that they are built according to plans and specifications. This position requires a high degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and good communication skills.

• Manage inspectors and perform inspections of projects to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
• Investigate and resolve construction problems.
• Review and prepare reports and documentation.
• Communicate with clients, contractors, other inspectors and supervisors regarding specifications and qualifications.
• Provide vision and guidance to the firm in the area of inspections.
• Provide technical assistance to staff and clients for resolving problems.
• Build and manage client relationships.
• Lead projects to ensure they are on-schedule and on budget.
• Mentor and develop staff.
• Travel to work sites.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or similar discipline.
• 5 years’ experience in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
• Valid driver’s license.
• E.I.T. license required.
• PE license preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Independent and critical thinking abilities.
• The ability to work logically and systematically, with good time management.
• Basic IT literacy and the ability to manage and communicate electronic data.
• Problem-solving and decision-making skills, plus the ability to speak laterally.
• Self-starter who can work independently and with team members.
