Overview

The Informational Technology (IT) Intern is responsible for day-to-day technology department tasks.  You will become a member of the Dynamic IT Team. Your work will help maintain, protect and improve our company and its numerous diverse employees.

Responsibilities

  • Install hardware and peripheral components such as monitors, keyboards, and printers on users’ premises.
  • Load appropriate software packages such as operating systems, networking components and office applications.
  • Provide telephone, in-person and online support to end-users in all regional offices.
  • Coordinates activities with network services and information systems groups. Provides updates, status and completion information to manager and/or users, via voice mail, e-mail or in-person communication in all regional offices.
  • Ensure users/customers/personnel are provided Professional, courteous, and punctual support and service.
  • Responsible for on the job learning of some network, phone system and computer maintenance.
  • Support user training on an as-needed basis.
  • Other duties as assigned by any or all IT Team Members.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or in pursuit of required.
  • Related education in computers/networking, or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong Familiarity with technology.
  • Motivation to learn and continuously improve yourself.
  • Possess good working knowledge in Windows OS, PC Hardware, Printers, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task with respect to projects, projects, support calls, etc. on a daily basis.
  • Strong follow-up skills to put closure on issues.
  • Ability to work under supervision & resolve issues independently based on project/company standards.
  • Open communication is a must, ask for help, use training and guidance.
  • Willingness to assume increased responsibilities.
  • Ability to work as a team player and interact well with others.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

The base rate for this position is $18 - $20/hr based on prior relevant experience.
